Baby modeling photos / ベビーモデルの時の写真
These photos made me to want a new camera with a better lens.娘のベビーモデルの時の写真が出来上がった。写真を見ていたら新しいカメラが欲しくなってしまった。やっぱり良いレンズは写真が違うなぁ。

Mt. Bonnell / ボネル山
山と言うよりも丘の様な感じのボネル山。初めてボネル山に登ったのは私が16歳の時。
ボネル山の頂上からは素敵な景色が展望でえきる。
娘のハーフバースデーにボネル山に登った。
Mia weights 20 lb (9 kg) now, so it was little hard for me to go up, but I managed to do it okay.
娘の体重は六ヶ月にしてすでに9キロ•••登るのがちょっと大変だった。
I hope to visit there again soon!
また近いうちにボネル山に登れたらいいなぁ。

Contigo / コンティゴ
Steve, Mia and I went to Contigo for brunch.
I was happy to eat brunch there after hearing good things about it.
噂に聞いていたコンティゴでのブランチ。
最近のオースチンは外のベンチとテーブルをやるレストランが多い。コンティゴもやっぱりそうだった。外だから犬もOK。
Beef tongue was tender and hash was tasty. I kind of wished there was some green on my plate. Maybe I need to order some salad next time.
スタッフのおすすめのポーチトエッグののった牛の舌とハッシュドポテトのデイッシュをオーダ。美味しかったけど、ちょっと緑が欲しかったなぁ。今度オーダーする時はサラダもオーダーしなきゃだめかしら。

Tous Les Jours
Tous Les Jours is a Korean bakery that has started in the U.S. I went WOW when I found Tous Les Jours on North Lamar. It made me to realize that Austin has changed so much!
ベーカリーの名前はTous Les Joursとフランス語だけど何も知らずにたまたまあったので行ってみたベーカリーは韓国のベーカリーだった。オースチンでこんなベーカリーを見つける事はまずないのでびっくり。
入ってみて初めに感じた事は、うわっ日本にいるみたい。
ちゃんと食べれる場所もあるのでリラックスできた。
あんぱんを買ってみたけどちょっとがっかり。日本で食べたあんぱんの方が美味しかったので••• 食べた事のない韓国の菓子パンは美味しかった♥

AIN Japanese cooking lesson / AINでのお料理教室
I had a chance to teach a Japanese cooking lesson for Austin Intercultural Network.
オースチン インターカルチャー ネットワークという団体で日本食のクッキングレッスンをやってきた。
今回のメニューははさつまいものみそ汁ととんかつとみたらし団子。
Not only I got to teach them how to cook some Japanese dishes, but also I got to talk about Japanese culture.
短時間でパッパと料理しなければいけなかったので大変だったけど、ご飯の作り方以外にも日本の文化についても語ったりしクラスは楽しく教えられた。
楽しかったからまだ料理教室やりたいなぁ〜

5 month-old / 五ヶ月
娘が五ヶ月に突入。
I learned using disposable diapers can create so much trash after Mia was born.
赤ちゃんを育ててみて感じた事はオムツのゴミの量がすごい！
She is a good eater. She can use 10 diapers a day.
娘はよく食べるのでよく出します。だからオムツは一日に10枚使用は普通。
I was able to figured things out about cloth diapers with my friends' help, and I started using them from today finally!
他のママ友達に布おむつの事を聞いたりしてやっと娘は五ヶ月目から布おむつデビュー。
I got 12 bumGenius 4.0 as a starter.
買ったのはbumGenius 4.0。直訳するとお尻の天才（笑）。
I got snaps instead of velcro to avoid them getting sticked together when I wash them in a washing machine.
洗濯した時にくっ付くのが嫌なのでマジックテープではなくてスナップタイプのやつを購入。
I hope they work out well.
初めての布おむつなのでちょっとドキドキです。

Moms and Babies' the Bible study class / 赤ちゃんとママの為の聖書のお勉強教室
Hyesun invited me to attend moms and babies's the Bible study class.
赤ちゃんとママの為の聖書のお勉強教室に友達のへスターに招待された。
I liked how the class was baby friendly, so I attended one today.
赤ちゃんフレンドリーと聞いたのでさっそくお邪魔。
Being a mother is a hard job since I do not get to go out at night anymore like I used to.
ママになってからは夜に出歩く事がほとんどなくなり、ママって大変な仕事だわっと感じる今日この頃。
I feel like I get isolated sometimes
ちょっと寂しくなったりも。
へスターの四ヶ月の息子に会ったら娘よりも体が大きい。体重は？と聞いたら八キロ以上。
Mia weights over 16 lbs.
ちなみに今は娘は七キロぐらい。
2 big 4 month-old baby together-
Mia and Jayden are breastfed babies.
両方とも完母乳の大っきな四ヶ月の赤ちゃん。
Breast milk does amazing job!
母乳はやっぱりすごいなぁと関心。
娘は初級用の聖書をクラスでもらいました。そしてアブラハムについて勉強。そういえば子供の頃に聖書のお話を読んで勉強するの好きだったなぁと懐かしく感じた。

Baby modeling day! / 初めての赤ちゃんモデルを娘が経験
Mia was a baby model today, but she did not smile at all since she has been having a stranger anxiety recently.
娘がベビーモデルに初挑戦。でも最近は人見知りをするので知らないカメラマンさんにカメラを向けられると泣きそうな顔に•••
ご機嫌ななめの娘は最近よくするお得意の足をつかむポーズもせず。
赤ちゃん用のいすのバンボに座った娘は初めて触った地面に生えている雑草に夢中で写真撮影どころではなくなった。
泣きそうな娘の顔。

Rolling over / 寝返り
I put Mia on a playmat to do her tummy time, and I went to the kitchen this morning.
朝、娘をプレイマットにのっけてタミータイム中に（うつむけに寝かせて）台所へ。
I thought she would be screaming on my way back from the kitchen, but she was not screaming. When I saw her again, she was not on her tummy. She was laying down on her back.
台所から戻る途中で娘の嫌がる叫び声が聞こえるかと思ったら静かだったので、あれっ？と思いながら娘が大丈夫か確認したら仰向けに寝転がっていた。
Yeah, she rolled over without getting stuck by herself for the first time!
そうです、寝返りをうったのです。
And I missed it!
娘の初めての寝返りは見逃してしまって残念。
I hope I get to see her rolling over soon.
今度はいつ寝返りをうつのかなぁ〜

Not teething yet / まだ歯は生えてきていない
Mia has been drooling a lot lately that made me to realize I guess it is time for her to wear a bib.
最近、娘がよくよだれを垂らすようになったのでよだれかけを着けるようにした。
Her doctor said that she is not teething yet although she wants to put everything that she can put inside of her mouth.
娘はなんでもつかんで口に入れたりなめるようになった。よくよだれを出すようになったら歯が生えてきた証拠と言われたけど、娘の医者からはまだ歯は生えていませんと言われた。だいたいは7ヶ月目くらいで歯は生えるらしい。
I know it is silly to say this, but Mia looks like a baby with her pacifier and her bib!
おしゃぶりとよだれかけを着けって赤ちゃんの時にしか着けないから今だけできる赤ちゃんルックだなぁと娘を見てしまった。

Brunch at Zocalo Cafe / Zocalo Cafeでのブランチ
Stephanie and I had brunch at Zocalo Cafe for the first time.
ステファニーとZocalo Cafeで初めてブランチした。
Zocalo Cafe got modern architecture and cute interior. A lot of daylight from outside, their white walls and white ceiling created a cozy atmosphere.
Zocalo Cafeはモダンなアーキテクチャーとキュートなインテリアのカフェだった。窓から入る外からの光と白く塗られた壁や天井は居心地の良い空間を造り出していた。
As soon as I saw the building, I knew they must have good food and I would definitely come back.
実を言うと外からカフェを見た時に、あっ絶対ここになら美味しい食べ物があるからまた戻ってきそうと感じた。
レジのお姉さんからはエッグベネディクトをおすすめされた。
It was delicious.
もちろんエッグベネディクトをオーダーしました。美味しかったです。
I liked how they put sweet potatoes in their biscuits. It made their biscuits to be bit sweet and flavorful. Also their grilled tomato was sweet and juicy!
ちょっと普通のエッグベネディクトと違う所は、ここのビスケットにはスイートポテトが入っている所。だから飽きずに美味しく食べれた。グリルされたトマトのスライスは甘くてジューシー。
Good baby, Mia slept through most of the time while we had brunch.
良い子の実愛ちゃんはほとんどブランチの時はグーグー寝ていました。

8 weeks old / 8週目
Mia is 8 weeks old today.
今日で娘が生まれてから8週目。
She eats a lot.
She sleeps a lot.
She smiles a lot.
She bubbles often.
She says "Mia-chan" when she talks.
She cries sometime.
よく食べて、よく寝て、たまに泣くけど、よく笑うおしゃべり好き。
おしゃべりしながら実愛ちゃんと自分の名前を行っています。
I get amazed by how fast she is growing.
赤ちゃんって成長するのがめちゃめちゃ早い！
Last night I was able to sleep for 6 hours!
昨夜はなんと6時間寝れた★

Hopdoddy Burger Bar / ホップドティイバーガーバー
I am into eating burgers recently.
最近はハンバーガーにハマっている私。
I went to Hopdoddy Burger Bar on West Anderson for the second time.
バーガーバーのホップドティイで二度目のバーガーを食べてきました。
This time I tried Llano Poblano. It got some roasted poblano chiles that made the burger to be bit spicy. The burger was big, juicy and delicious.
今回はルラノポブラノに挑戦。ローストされたチリが入っていたのでちょっと辛めでした。でもジューシーで美味しかった♥
I kind of wished their size of burgers was smaller and their price was cheaper, but oh well they make good burgers and shake! Somehow I did not care too much about their fries this time.
いつも食べきれないのでもうちょっとバーガーのサイズが小さくて値段が安めだといいんだけどと思うけどテキサスだからしょうがない。バーガーのシェークはめちゃめちゃ美味しかったです。でもなぜかフライはいまいちな感じがした。
レジのお姉さんに進められて初めてトライしたキャラメルソルトシェークは見た目もボリューム満点で味もグッドでした。
ケチャップ以外にも色々なバーベキューソースやハニーマスタードなどなど色々なソースが置いてあって嬉しかったです。
ちなみに今日は娘は初めて電車にのりました。

A baby class at Any Baby Can / お母さんとお父さんの為のベビーのクラス
Miyuki and I went to Incredible Years for Infants class today. I met her son, Benjamin for the first time. He was a little cute baby just like Mia.
今日はお母さんとお父さんの為のベビーのクラスにみゆきちゃんと行った。みゆきちゃんのベビーのベンジャミンに初めて会った。小さくて可愛いベビーだった。
We spent some time trying to put Mia's car seat base in Miyuki's car because we are not an expert about an infant's car seat yet. But anyway we were able to make to the class though.
お互いに初めての赤ちゃんなので実愛のチャイルドシートをみゆきちゃんの車に取り付けるのにとっても苦労した。
First thing I thought about when I saw 2 babies together in a car was babies are small people, but they need a lot of stuff and they take a lot of space.
二人の赤ちゃんを車に入れて感じた事は赤ちゃんって小さいけど出かけるのにたくさん物がいるし、その為のスペースもたくさん必要だなぁ〜
It was intense being in a class with Mia because when she started fussing, I could only hear Mia's voice. Thus I could not hear or pay attention to what my teacher was talking about.
娘とのクラスはちょっと大変だった。だって娘が泣き出すと私に聞こえるのは先生の声ではなくて娘の声だけ•••
After the class we went to Upper Crust Bakery for lunch. One woman who works there wanted to see Mia because she remembered me during my pregnancy.
クラスの後でアッパークラストベーカリーでランチをした。そこで働いている女の人に赤ちゃんを見せてと言われた。彼女は私が妊婦の時から知っているから赤ちゃんが見たかったみたい。
Miyuki and I were nervous about taking out 2 babies together, but we were able to do it well. I was glad that Mia and Benjamin did not start crying at the same time.
ドキドキだったけど、今日のみゆきちゃんとのお出かけは無事に成功した。ベンジャミンと実愛が一緒に泣き出したらどうしようと思ったけどそれもなかったし良かった★

Breakfast at McDonald`s with Mia / 娘と朝マック
I have always liked breakfast at Mc'Donald's since I was a child.
マックの朝食は小さい頃から好き。
It was scary for me to go there with my daughter for breakfast, but I am confident going there now.
娘と初めて二人だけでマックの朝食に行った時はどうなる事やらと怖かったけど最近はちょっと慣れた感じ。
She closes her eyes often whenever she is in her stroller outside, however I noticed she was checking around inside of McDonald's. Also she was interested in music and other people's voices.
娘はストローラーで散歩をするとよく目を閉じているのですがマックの中では目を開けて周りをキョロキョロ。流れているお店の音楽や人の話し声に興味津々でした。
When I see her being like this, I feel like I have to take her out more often.
こんな娘を見るともっと外に連れ出したいわと思ったりしてしまいます。
Having a baby in my hands and eating breakfast is hard. I just wish I had 4 hands instead of 2!
でもやっぱり赤ちゃんは色々と手がかかり大変。私の手が２つではなくて４つあればいいなぁと感じてしまいました。

1 month old today / 実愛ちゃん一ヶ月目に突入
Being pregnant for 38 weeks was hard and giving a birth was very hard. I was able to survive my first month with Mia.
実愛ちゃんが生まれて早くも一ヶ月たちました。妊婦で過ごした時間や出産も大変だったけど新生児と過ごしたの初めての一ヶ月はめちゃめちゃ大変だった。
色々な友達がご飯を作って持って来たり、娘の為のオムツを買って来てくれたりしました。大変感謝しています。噂には聞いていたけど、人生の中でこんなに体が痛くてお腹がすいた事は今まで経験したことがないのでびっくりしました。
Thank God that my body does not hurt as much anymore finally!
だいぶ体がもとに戻ってきたので嬉しいです。
It has been a lot of adventure experiencing pregnancy, giving a birth and taking care of the newborn. I look forward experiencing more adventure with my daughter.
妊娠やお産や娘の世話をした一ヶ月を経験して感じた事は、やっぱり女性として生まれて来たのだからこういうのは経験できて良かったと感じました。また一ヶ月たったらどんだけ成長するのかな？と娘の成長が楽しみです。

Sleeping on her tummy / うつむけに寝る
I was told never ever let your baby sleep on her/his tummy when I took a baby class about SIDS.
赤ちゃんのクラスを取った時に先生からは赤ちゃんが呼吸ができなくて死んでしまう場合があるので赤ちゃんは仰向けに寝かせて下さいと言われた。
Mia is 4 weeks old today, and I realized that her voice is louder and she talks a lot more.
実愛ちゃんは今日で生まれて4週目。最近は声も大きくなってきてよく話すようになってきた。
She screams often while she sleeps, so I put her on her tummy because I thought she might need to burp.
お昼寝中、よく叫ぶ彼女•••もしかしたらげっぷしたいのかな？と思いお腹を下にして寝かせてみた。
After I put her on her tummy, she fell back asleep again and she stopped screaming.
お腹を下にしたとたんに叫ぶのを止めた。
I am not sure if I want to do it at night while I try to sleep, but maybe I can do this again while I am awake and watch her sleep because I get worried when I hear her screams!
夜、私が寝る時は不安なので仰向けに寝かせようと思うけど、私が起きて娘を見ている時はうつむけにして寝かせてもいいかもと思った。いつも娘の叫び声を聞いているとこっちが不安になってしまうので•••

Being outside with Mia / 実愛ちゃんとの外出
Mia will be 4 weeks old tomorrow.
明日で実愛ちゃんが生まれて4週間目。
My body is not in so much pain anymore. Going out with Mia is still scary for me, but I decided to try getting used to be outside and in a public space with Mia by myself.
私の体は以前のように産後でめちゃめちゃ痛くはなくなったので怖いけど実愛とお出かけする事にした。
We went outside around 9 am, however it was already hot and humid in Austin. I felt really bad for Mia because she was sweating a lot just like me when I picked her up.
朝の9時頃に出発したけれどオースチンはすでに暑い。実愛をだっこしたらかなり汗をかいていたので反省。
I went, "why are you sweating a lot even though you are not walking outside?!"
なんで歩いていないのにこんなに汗をかいているの!?とびっくりした。
ちなみにバスにも一緒に初めて乗りました。
