I had a chance to use Singapore airline first time flying from LA to Tokyo.

LA-成田経由で初めてシンガポール航空を使った。

I had Katsu curry lunch that came with some zaru soba and some Japanese pickles.

日本に行く途中だけど機内食はあえて日本のランチを食べた。

I found flying with a 6 month-old baby was harder than flying with a 3 month-old baby because Mia was interested in everything.

周りにあるもの全てに興味津々の六ヶ月の娘とのアメリカから日本までの飛行機は大変だった。娘が三ヶ月の時の方が簡単だったなぁ。

I had to eat my food very quickly.

ご飯は流し込むかのように食べた。

Mia watched me eating from her bassinet, and kept asking me to give her my spoon, so she gets to taste my food!

娘は赤ちゃんベッドから私がご飯を食べている所を観察し、私のスプーンを欲しがったり口をあ〜んと開けたりした。

Their food was okay. I was more surprised to see silverwares on the plane not plastic forks or spoons. Also their coffee was quite good for coffee on an airplane. I really liked how I got to have some Haagen-Daz ice cream as a dessert!

シンガポール航空でのご飯はそこまで美味しいとは思わなかったけどフォークやスプーンがよくあるプラスチックの食器ではなくちゃんとしたシルバーの食器だったのでびっくりした。あとはコーヒーが機内のコーヒーにしてはそこそこに美味しかった。デザートにはハーゲンダッツのアイスクリームが出てきた♥

It was 2nd stories high airplane!

私の乗った飛行機はなんと二階建てだった。

My seat was on the second floor. I got excited, so I ended up going downstairs to see what was it like to be on the first floor. Well, it was the same as 2nd floor...

私の席は二階だった。二階建ての飛行機は初めてだったのでわくわくしながら下の階に降りたりした。

I liked how Singapore airline decorated inside of the plane.

クリスマス前だったので機内はクリスマスっぽく飾り付けされてた。そういえばクリスマスのシーズンに飛行機に乗ったのは本当に久しぶりだったなぁ。

I finally got Mia's baby modeling photos.

These photos made me to want a new camera with a better lens.

娘のベビーモデルの時の写真が出来上がった。写真を見ていたら新しいカメラが欲しくなってしまった。やっぱり良いレンズは写真が違うなぁ。

Mt. Bonnell / ボネル山

I feel like Mt. Bonnell should be called Bonnell hill because it takes 5 minutes to be on top. I was 16-yr-old when I went on top of Mt. Bonnell first time.

山と言うよりも丘の様な感じのボネル山。初めてボネル山に登ったのは私が16歳の時。

I love views from Mt. Bonnell; I think it got the most beautiful views of Austin.

ボネル山の頂上からは素敵な景色が展望でえきる。

Mia and I went on top of Mt. Bonnell for her 6 months birthday.

娘のハーフバースデーにボネル山に登った。

Mia weights 20 lb (9 kg) now, so it was little hard for me to go up, but I managed to do it okay.

娘の体重は六ヶ月にしてすでに9キロ•••登るのがちょっと大変だった。

I hope to visit there again soon!

また近いうちにボネル山に登れたらいいなぁ。

Contigo / コンティゴ

Steve, Mia and I went to Contigo for brunch.

I was happy to eat brunch there after hearing good things about it.

噂に聞いていたコンティゴでのブランチ。

I think outside seats are a trend in Austin right now because it got outside seats where you can bring your dog. I saw many cute small dogs. Contigo was cute and spacious; I liked it.

最近のオースチンは外のベンチとテーブルをやるレストランが多い。コンティゴもやっぱりそうだった。外だから犬もOK。

I ordered beef tongue hash because it was a dish that our waiter recommended.

Beef tongue was tender and hash was tasty. I kind of wished there was some green on my plate. Maybe I need to order some salad next time.

スタッフのおすすめのポーチトエッグののった牛の舌とハッシュドポテトのデイッシュをオーダ。美味しかったけど、ちょっと緑が欲しかったなぁ。今度オーダーする時はサラダもオーダーしなきゃだめかしら。

Tous Les Jours

Tous Les Jours is a Korean bakery that has started in the U.S. I went WOW when I found Tous Les Jours on North Lamar. It made me to realize that Austin has changed so much!

ベーカリーの名前はTous Les Joursとフランス語だけど何も知らずにたまたまあったので行ってみたベーカリーは韓国のベーカリーだった。オースチンでこんなベーカリーを見つける事はまずないのでびっくり。

I did not know anything about it, so I was surprised as soon as I walked in because it was like a bakery in Japan.

入ってみて初めに感じた事は、うわっ日本にいるみたい。

I liked how they had a decent size eating/drinking area.

ちゃんと食べれる場所もあるのでリラックスできた。

I ordered their sweet bean buns, however I was little disappointed because I had a better one before in Tokyo. But their other Korean baked goods were good.

あんぱんを買ってみたけどちょっとがっかり。日本で食べたあんぱんの方が美味しかったので•••　食べた事のない韓国の菓子パンは美味しかった♥

AIN Japanese cooking lesson / AINでのお料理教室

I had a chance to teach a Japanese cooking lesson for Austin Intercultural Network.

オースチン インターカルチャー ネットワークという団体で日本食のクッキングレッスンをやってきた。

We cooked some sweet potato miso soup, tonkatsu and mitarashi dango.

今回のメニューははさつまいものみそ汁ととんかつとみたらし団子。

Not only I got to teach them how to cook some Japanese dishes, but also I got to talk about Japanese culture.

短時間でパッパと料理しなければいけなかったので大変だったけど、ご飯の作り方以外にも日本の文化についても語ったりしクラスは楽しく教えられた。

The class was fun; I hope to have another class soon!

楽しかったからまだ料理教室やりたいなぁ〜

5 month-old / 五ヶ月

Mia is 5 month-old.

娘が五ヶ月に突入。

I learned using disposable diapers can create so much trash after Mia was born.

赤ちゃんを育ててみて感じた事はオムツのゴミの量がすごい！

She is a good eater. She can use 10 diapers a day.

娘はよく食べるのでよく出します。だからオムツは一日に10枚使用は普通。

I was able to figured things out about cloth diapers with my friends' help, and I started using them from today finally!

他のママ友達に布おむつの事を聞いたりしてやっと娘は五ヶ月目から布おむつデビュー。

I got 12 bumGenius 4.0 as a starter.

買ったのはbumGenius 4.0。直訳するとお尻の天才（笑）。

I got snaps instead of velcro to avoid them getting sticked together when I wash them in a washing machine.

洗濯した時にくっ付くのが嫌なのでマジックテープではなくてスナップタイプのやつを購入。

I hope they work out well.

初めての布おむつなのでちょっとドキドキです。
